About Us

Christ in the Community is a Non-Profit Community Interest Company that exists to benefit the communities of Jamaica. We work in partnership with churches in the community to provide access to education for children living in extreme poverty, residing in rural, remote and urban areas in Jamaica. Our first pilot is to provide lunch and breakfast at schools which have a high record of children living in extreme poverty. This initiative will enable children to attend school every day and keep them alert during the school day.
Help us transform young lives in Jamaica, by giving them an opportunity to a primary education regardless of their socio-economic background.

We belong

Our name means we collectively represent Christ within our communities. We are the hands and feet of Christ in the communities of Jamaica, regardless of whatever position we may hold. Our organisation work in partnership with churches in Jamaica to support the communities in which they are based. This is by supporting and creating opportunities for residents of low socio-economic background within that community. We are especially interested in supporting children and families which are at a disadvantage, as we believe stronger families build stronger communities.
