CITC Wellbeing Centre

A Community Wellbeing Service

We are seeking to commission a Community Wellbeing model that is focused on delivering outcomes for the people of Surrey and Sussex. This new model will ensure that a person centred approach is undertaken at all times using a strengths based approach. By providing a safe, welcoming space for people facing isolation, loneliness, and mental difficulties. We want to actualise this by taking a holistic approach. We are committed to catering to the whole person. We will work at improving our members’ mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being, as well as physical health through activities like gardening therapy, dancing, and exercising, interacting and sharing with others, catering to the whole person.

Our Wellbeing Centre will be a place where people who need help and support can come and find this. Engage in meaningful relationships and activities which will help to improve their lives and help them to thrive.

We hope to provide this to a wide demographic which includes teenagers, adults and the elderly. Anyone facing isolation, loneliness, and mental difficulties. Inclusivity is at the centre of what we do. The CITC Well-being Centre is fully inclusive and accessible to all, regardless of age, gender, cultural background, religion, or disability. Discrimination of any form will not be tolerated, as we strive to create an inclusive environment for all. We want this to be a safe, warm and welcoming space, where it feels like an oasis to all our members.

The CITC Wellbeing Centre is able to create a comprehensive and impactful program that supports individuals' holistic well-being, unveiling one's purpose and fostering a strong sense of community and belonging.

A Holistic Approach

At CITC we believe we can help people overcome their difficulties, have meaningful relationships and live their lives with purpose. We hope to do this through relationship building via group sharing, meet and eat cafe chats, gardening therapy, mentoring and weekly activities such as dancing, exercising and playing various games.

Support will take form in the following ways:

  • Group sharing appropriate for each age group and personal difficulty.
  • Meet and Eat again appropriate to age and personal experience.
  • Garden therapy, for those suffering from anxiety and isolation. A form of activity for young people who need help to keep them active, work experience or find a new hobby.
  • Games and social activity for each group.

Members will also have the opportunity to volunteer in our cafe, shop and garden. This will benefit them by giving them purpose and solidifying their self-worth. volunteering will contribute to the well-being of the volunteers themselves, fostering a sense of purpose and fulfilment.

To successfully establish and operate the CITC Wellbeing Centre, we are presently in the process of acquiring funds to get it up and running. You can support this project by donating to our Wellbeing Centre fund.
